Church
of the Martyrs
Sunday Club and
Children's Groups
The Martyrs has Sunday
activities for ALL ages.
Here are a few details.
 |
Crèche
|
Crèche meets during each main
morning service, in a purpose-built room with plenty of
toys and facilities. There are usually between five and
ten babies and toddlers in crèche.
|
 |
Scramblers
|
Scramblers are aged 3½ to 5 years.
Their programme is very active, with plenty of games,
interesting things to see and do, and a chance to find out
about Jesus and make friends.
|
 |
Climbers
|
Climbers are 5 to 7 years. Like
Scramblers, they also have an active programme, with
games, things to see and do, and a chance to find out
about Jesus and how God wants us to live as His friend.
|
 |
Explorers
|
Explorers combines wild games and
activities with excellent Bible learning. Explorers are
Junior-school age, and are “exploring” what it means
to be a Christian.
|
 |
Pathfinders
|
Pathfinders are age 11 to 14 years,
which means they have lots of questions, as well as
needing lots of answers. Their weekly programme includes
discussion, interaction, worship and other generally
groovy stuff.
|
 |
Torch
|
Up to 20 older teenagers meet on a Sunday
evening, for a programme designed to apply Christian faith
to real life, and give space for faith to grow and
develop. Torch also has a big social programme.

Schools
|
The Martyrs welcomes visits from school
groups. Some resources for
schools are available on this site. Contact vicar@martyrs.org.uk
for more information.

J-Team
|
At Easter every two years the Martyrs does
The J-Team. This is a hyper-active Christian Holiday Club,
with games, video, songs, crafts, Bible stories and
foot-stomping music. Yeah!
|
| |
|
Come on, clap your
hands, if you wanna join the J-Team.
Come on, stamp your feet, if you wanna join the J-Team.
It’s the Team for you and me,
Come along and you will see,
Come on and be glad, we’re in the J-Team.
